COVID-19 SAFETY

How we plan to keep you safe.

As of today July 6th, 2021 the State and County have referred to the requirements of testing and vaccination for events like Bayfest as ‘Recommended’.  We are adopting this guidance for operation at Bayfest on July 10th.  WE WILL NOT BE CHECKING FOR TESTING OR VACCINATION, it is recommended that you are vaccinated. If you are not vaccinated it is recommended that you get a test, stay home if sick, and wear a mask if you attend Bayfest.  The state says you make your best judgement, we recommend you follow that guidance, and have a good time on Saturday.

An inherent risk of exposure to COVID-19 exists in any place where people gather. COVID-19 is an extremely contagious disease that can lead to severe illness and death. By purchasing a ticket, you assume all risks, hazards, and dangers arising from or relating in any way to the risk of contracting COVID-19 or any other communicable disease or illness, or a bacteria, virus or other pathogen capable of causing a communicable disease or illness, whether occurring before, during, or after the event, however caused or contracted, and voluntarily waive all claims and potential claims against the City and County of San Diego, the Event Organizers, and their affiliated companies relating to such risks. You expressly agree to comply with all Federal, State, and Local laws, ordinance, regulations, and the rules of the Event Organizers when attending the event.

Will attendees have to wear masks throughout the event?

It is recommended that you wear a mask while attending the event, but it is not required.

If we’re sick that weekend or test positive for COVID-19 what do we do about our tickets?

If you reach out to us prior to the festival to let us know you’re sick, we will refund your ticket in the form of store credit. This will allow you to purchase festival passes for a future event date. After the festival starts, all tickets will become non-refundable if we haven’t received an email to [email protected] addressing your sickness.

What if we feel sick during the festival?

We’ll have a first aid tent at the festival and it will be equipped with COVID tests if needed. We will take refunds on a case-by-case basis in this situation.

What other things might you do to keep us safe?

While we will continually update our plans for COVID Safety we are considering the following:

– Larger gate areas for traffic to remain spaced out

– Implementing a sanitation team for high-touch areas

– Sanitation stations placed throughout the festival

– Temp checks available at entry-ways and gates
